Book Sales Page
- C# (.NET MVC)
Overview
An online bookstore built with ASP.NET Core MVC in a layered architecture. Data access uses Entity Framework Core, and user registration, login and role-based authorization are handled with ASP.NET Identity.
01 · Problem
A bookstore that sells to both individual customers and companies buying in bulk needs different user roles, quantity-based pricing and order tracking.
02 · Solution
I built a multi-layer ASP.NET Core MVC app split into Web, DataAccess, Models and Utility projects. Data access uses the Repository and Unit of Work patterns, and authentication uses ASP.NET Identity with Admin, Employee, Company and Customer roles. The admin area manages categories, products and companies; the customer area has a cart, quantity-based pricing (1–50, 50–100, 100+) and an order summary.
03 · Outcome
The result is an end-to-end e-commerce flow with delayed payment for company accounts, order headers and details, and status tracking (pending, approved, shipped…). The database schema was evolved step by step with Entity Framework Core migrations.
