AES - RSA Encryption Implementation

C# (.NET MVC)

Overview

An ASP.NET Core MVC app for hands-on cryptography: generates RSA key pairs, encrypts and decrypts text with RSA, and hashes data with SHA256, showing all outputs in Base64.

01 · Problem

Encryption algorithms are taught in theory, which makes it hard to see how symmetric encryption, asymmetric encryption and hashing actually differ in practice.

02 · Solution

I built a single-page tool with ASP.NET Core MVC: AES text encryption and decryption, RSA key pair generation with RSA encryption/decryption, and SHA256 digests for text and files. It uses .NET's System.Security.Cryptography library and warns the user if they try to encrypt before generating keys.

03 · Outcome

Because every output is shown in Base64, you can see side by side how the same text is transformed by different algorithms. Submitted as the final project of a cryptography course.
