Overview

Current weather, a 24-hour chart and a 5-day forecast, with a search that understands Turkish spelling, optional location and world capitals. No API key and no server.

01 · Problem

Most weather apps need an API key and handle Turkish spelling poorly: "ısparta" or "sanliurfa" finds nothing.

02 · Solution

I used open data services that need no key (Open-Meteo, OpenStreetMap, GeoNames) straight from the browser. I query OSM for Türkiye and GeoNames for the world at the same time, match Turkish letters loosely and merge the results. The chart is plain SVG with no library.

03 · Outcome

A serverless app with no dependencies and 44 tests. Provinces and districts are found correctly, your location is shown by its real name and never stored, and the site runs fully static behind a strict CSP.
